Although Maranatha an indepedent church we have chosen to affiliate with the North Central Baptist Association, the Illinois Baptist State Association, and the Southern Baptist Convention. We seek to fulfill the Great Commisson alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ. Maranatha Baptist Church is devoted to the preaching and teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We preach the Bible without compromise believing that it is the very Word of God. Man was created in the Image of God to glorify and enjoy Him forever. Man broke that relationship so God sent His Son to reconcile us to Himself. At Maranatha Baptist Church we fix our eyes upon Christ Jesus, the author and finisher of our salvation. Get ready to gather your gear, lace up your hiking boots, and venture out as we embarkon Answers in Genesis’ Ultimate Trek Through Time
With this Vacation Bible School, we will journey off the beaten path through the amazing Amazon, experiencing the breathtaking beauty, the wilderness wonder, and the dreadful danger of remote areas of the rainforest. Behind every bend and high in every tree new treasures are just waiting to be discovered.
But that’s not the only journey we will be on.We will also experience the ultimate biblical trek through time as we follow the “history book ofthe universe” (the Bible) on a tour of the “seven C’s of history”: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe,Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation.
