Maranatha is always looking for help in the ministries that God has provided in our community and beyond! There are many opportunities to serve as well as room for the ministry that God has called you to do in your personal life.

Current ministries of members of Maranatha:

Members: We want our members to be active in ministry at Maranatha Baptist Church! Come even if it is to fellowship and worship together! Looking to sit back and soak in some doctrinally sound biblical teaching and preaching? Come. Worship God with us.

Small Group Leaders: Currently two small groups have been started by members of Maranatha and we have requests for more! Do you have the gift of biblical leadership? We could use your help in this valuable home-based ministry of Maranatha Baptist Church.

Sunday School Teachers: We have the beginnings of our Sunday School but there is much to do at Maranatha. We are age groups that need to be more narrow in their age range and we need the teachers to do it! Is God calling you to be a teacher?

Rockford Rescue Mission Ministry: Monthly preaching and sharing of the Gospel at the Rockford Rescue Mission allows an opportunity for service to those in need. Singing and preaching and awesome testimonies of God's goodness through the hands of strangers. Come worship and put God's love in action.

VBS Leadership: Maranatha was founded because of a VBS outreach to the community many years ago. Both a tradition and a unique opportunity to lead our children in worship and study of God. We are looking for leaders for the 2010 VBS program and have already begun praying.

Music: Maranatha brings a God-centered, Christ-focused worship mentality to our congregational worship. With a blend of modern worship hymns and praises and traditional worship hymns, the worship service is set to allow you to express your awe of God's work in your life every Lord's day. Currently we are expanding our worship style to include more instruments and hope to get our new building complete where we can bring even more instruments together for worship. Can you sing? Do you play and instrument? Come and find out how you can be used of God to bless others and be blessed in cooperative worship.

Food Pantry: Donations and gifts, hours of service. The food pantry ministry is new to Maranatha but is a great opportunity for service.
